Everything I think and everything I do is wrong. I was wrong about Elton, I was wrong about Christian, and now Josh hated me. It all boiled down to one inevitable conclusion, I was just totally clueless… Oh and this whole Josh and Ty thing was wiggin’ me more than anything. I mean, what was my problem? Ty is my pal, I don’t begrudge her a boyfriend. What does she want with Josh anyway? He dresses funny, he listens to complaint rock, he’s not even cute in a conventional way… I mean, he’s just like this slug that hangs around the house all the time! Ugh! And he’s a hideous dancer, couldn’t take him anywhere. Wait a second, what am I stressing about, this is like, Josh. Okay, okay……so he’s kind of a Baldwin. What would he want with Ty, she couldn’t make him happy, Josh needs someone with imagination, someone to take care of him, someone to laugh at his jokes in case he ever makes any…then suddenly….(pause) Oh my god! I love Josh! I’m majorly, totally, butt crazy in love with Josh! But now I don’t know how to act around him.

Cher, from that classic … Clueless !
I had forgotten how much I adore this movie until a friend brought it up today. It is truly a 90s week for me, but no matter, because those years were an amazing time. Also, how great would it be to actually do this monologue… anybody looking for audition material?
the song to which everyday should start. i love the 90s.

BLOG REBOOT! I am a travellin’ no more but can’t seem to rid the blogging bug. Sorry to everyone in advance :D
arriving home before my postcards
Checked in online and the clock is ticking down the 24 hours to my flight out of Hong Kong tomorrow.
Well, that was fast. Two and a half months in Asia and it is with a heavy heart (and equally heavy suitcase) that I leave China tomorrow. The goodbyes started a few days ago but leaving grandma was particularly hard today. Apparently she’s as bad at goodbyes as I am… a hug turned into an awkward pat. “Okay. That’ll do.” Hope tomorrow morning with my grandpa goes a little smoother.
As much as I’ve enjoyed gallivanting about Asia the last couple months, I’m excited to be home with friends and family. In one place for more than several months at a time - that’s going to be a refreshing change. and real life - all the crazy complexities that it’ll bring… I’m ready for it. Whatever I had to get out of my system on my travels… whatever I was looking for … I think I’ve found what I need for the next chapter of my life.
Alright. Pause on the cheese. Enough of this thing called blogging… I’ll be able to talk to you guys in person soon enough.
See you soon Canada!!

Today, I…
1) went tubing
2) had to leave early to catch my bus at 3 pm
3) only to discover that tuk tuks dont leave the tubing area until 4 pm
4) ran around like a mad man for 10 minutes begging anyone and everyone to take me back to vang vieng
5) finally talked a bar owner into driving me himself to vang vieng
6) got to vang vieng expecting to be taken by tuk tuk to the bus station
7) only to discover that when the travel agent said “tuk tuk” he really meant “the motorbike my son will drive you on”
8) got to the bus station, which, lets be honest, wasn’t the actual bus station (because that would be far too normal for Laos)
9) sat by a random road waiting to flag down my bus to Vientiane
10) finally got on a bus (late, of courrssse) and arrived in Vientiane
whoa baby. what a day.
Can I call you Honey?
